This presentation will include findings from a series of focus groups conducted by the iCAN-ACP project’s Diversity Access Team with older adults and families from the LGBT, Chinese, and South Asian communities, the latter Canada’s two largest visible minorities.

As well, findings will be presented from a large national survey (n=4380) investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on older adults’ health, lifestyle and planning for future health care, and from a series of studies exploring barriers and facilitators to ACP from the perspective of health care providers (LTC facility staff, primary care physicians and hospitalists, OTs) and across the shelter-care continuum.
